I had so much fun helping with this wedding! It is my favorite so far! I got to help a lot more with creating little pieces for this wedding and I just love the location. I learned a lot of great tips during the set up. I learned that you do whatever you can to adapt to different situations. It was really windy and the table cloths kept blowing up. In the cocktail area we simple just tied a bow around the base of the table. In the reception area we used corsage pins and pined the top table cloth to the bottom one. Just two very little details that made all the difference. I had so much fun working on this wedding.

I had the oppurtunity today to go and help set up the presidential suite in the hotel Bel-Air. The suite is exquisite. The flowers add a personal touch and homey feel for the quest when they arrive.

Each week I get to help make arrangements for the Brentwood country club. I like making this arrangements because there are usually 50 or 60 we have to make so I get a lot of practice. The sunflowers we got in this week were beautiful.

I loved working on this wedding it was at a beautiful location. I walked up where the ceremony was going to be held and I was just taking away by the view of the ocean. I love going to the events and seeing everything put together. I learned how important it is to build relationships with other companies in the wedding business. I love how the Hidden Garden makes connections with the sound companies, the lighting companies, the event corrdinators, and many more. We needed an extention cord to glue the spray roses on the napkins and because we had mad connections with the lighting company it was easy to work with them and get what we need to complete the task. Building relationships is an important quatlity to have in the event business.

First day of Internship!!

This past weekend was really exciting. I started by internship with The Hidden Garden In Los Angeles. My first day was really great. I got thrown right into work. I got to make aisle cones and fill them with petals for guest to throw as the bride a groom walk down the aisle. Also I got to work with cymbidium orchids. I water tubed and wired 220 orchids so we could add them to the arrangements onsite. It was really exciting to be apart of the set up of one of the weddings. We went to the Beverly Hills Hotel and I got to set up the center pieces in the ballroom. I am so excited be apart of The Hidden Garden for the next few months and learn so much.
